About the Academy

The Vicky-Anne Academy of Dance & Drama was founded in 1993 with past pupils going on to perform professionally in both stage and TV. The Academy offers a friendly, yet structured environment to learn and has classes for all ages and abilities. The academy was opened by Principal Vicky-Anne who has danced herself since the tender age of 3. over the years Vicky has built up the academy herself with a lot of hard work and determination, and made it the success it is now.

What we offer

The Academy offers classes in all theatre dance subjects as well as singing, drama, streetdance and cheerleading. All classes have limited numbers so that the pupils benefit from personal attention as well as maintaining a good student/teacher relationship. Pupils are also encouraged to develop their own creative abilities through choreography, script writing and song. Pupils are able to enter for examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.Pupils can even go on to study for teaching Qualifications if they wish to.Lots of our past pupils now have their own classes or schools throughout the county.Whilst exams do help to develop sound technique and performance skills they are not compulsory as we do realize that exams are not for everyone!

The pupils take part in various shows and displays throughout the year as well as our annual show which we present at the Civic Hall, Bedworth. All pupils are encouraged to take part in the production as it is always great fun and gives them a chance to show off their talents at a professional venue. As well as the experience of performing it creates great memories for children to cherish forever. Some pupils take part in various productions at local theatres throughout the county which is very much encouraged ……why develop a talent and never use it ?
