Our staff are very friendly and very approachable. We aim to provide professional tuition with a fun atmosphere. Whether a pupil wishes to go onto teach, perform or just dance for enjoyment we want to help and encourage everyone. Private tuition is available as well as choreography for shows, events and auditions.
All of our teachers are qualified and fully CRB checked.
Vicky–Anne opened the Academy when she was just 18 years old in 1993.Vicky has danced since the age of 2 and has performed in a variety of productions ranging from panto to stage plays. She has continued to work hard studying herself and is now a Fellow member of the International Dance Teachers Association. The Academy offers classes in all theatre dance subjects and more. Over the years pupils have gone on to work professionally as well as teach themselves. Vicky hopes that the Academy will continue to grow and maintain its 100% pass rate in exams. Vicky is very hands on with the teaching at the Academy and is lucky to have a fantastic team of teachers to help her.
Charlotte has danced with the academy since the age of 6 and is a great asset to the teaching staff. Her fun-loving nature and dedication really rubs off onto the pupils who all enjoy her classes. Charlotte went onto train at THEATREWORKS in Blackpool and has been involved in various productions and promotional work. Charlotte also regularly performs as ‘Simply Cheryl’ the UK’s No1 tribute to Cheryl Cole and has started a Street Dance exercise class ‘Swagg-a-size!’ at the academy.Charlotte has been a fully qualified teacher with the IDTA since 2005 and is an experienced current teacher.
Debbie has also danced at the academy since a young age. Debbie still loves to dance and enjoys teaching all age groups. Whilst Debbie chose not to go into the profession she still continued to study to become a qualified dance teacher. Debbie is a confident teacher who is able to motivate those pupils with a more modest personality. Debbie also helps out with the adult tap classes.
Eloise has danced at the Academy since she was 3 years old and holds her student
Teaching certificate. She is a kind and caring teacher who assists with the babes on a Saturday. Eloise still attends classes herself and enjoys being involved with all aspects of the Academy.
Bekki Trained at Arts Educational Tring and Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts. She danced with Rudolf Nureyev at London Coliseum. Bekki was Part of the Leicester Haymarket youth Theatre in 1987 and Gained the LAMDA DIP in 1989.Bekki joined the teaching team at Vicky-Anne's in September 2011 and is a very dedicated teacher.
Bekki said "Teaching at the academy is a pleasure. Everyone seems so happy to be there,it has a united atmosphere. Seeing the students dedication to their work and seeing their confidence grow week by week is the most rewarding thing."
